Over the past 30 years, we at TSG have sought to innovate powerful solutions, enable healthcare technology through integration, and digitally transform the healthcare industry. We’ve worked with many clinics and hospitals, all of whom want to make a positive change in healthcare, and we have endeavored to earn and maintain their trust by consistently providing valuable products and services. Looking back on another year of hard work and collaboration, we wanted to share a few of the ways our clients chose to make positive changes in 2019, and how we plan to continue helping them, and you, succeed in 2020.
Our Patient Check-in & Registration Solution + MEDITECH Expanse
The Health IT world is making advancements every year, building new avenues to increase productivity, improve value-centered care, and lower costs. At the same time, the medical sector continues to struggle keeping up with the mind-blowing pace of these technological advancements. Hospitals that want to make positive change are beginning to recognize that working with health IT specialists is the easiest way to bridge the gap between new healthcare technology and their facility.
With the release of MEDITECH Expanse, we knew that hospitals would begin to seek a Patient Check-in & Registration Kiosk that could match the quality and performance of a next generation EHR. So, we made it a point to ensure our Patient Check-in & Registration Kiosk was compatible. In 2019, we began implementing our solution to integrate with MEDITECH Expanse and are awaiting its launch at a client hospital in the coming months. Improving Canadians’ Healthcare
With clients operating in 3 different provinces, we’ve never been shy about our intent to increase the scope of our reach and influence. We believe that the quality and effectiveness of a product or service should determine the degree to which it is widespread, so it has been our mission to make our solutions available across the globe. We are always on the lookout for instances where client problems can be remedied with quality solutions to create positive change.
In 2019, we acquired a new client in the Prince Edward Island province looking to streamline their patient check-in and registration workflow. They are currently working to implement our Patient Check-in & Registration Kiosk solution, which, when launched, will not only help their staff work more efficiently, but will also improve the quality of healthcare they provide to the Canadian public.1

It is our privilege to collaborate with hospitals that consistently strive to improve the experience they provide to their patients. We believe their initiative is the impetus that drives positive change in the healthcare industry. And as with all such hospitals whom we currently serve and all we hope to serve, we could not be more excited about taking part in the positive transformation they seek to make.
For hospitals and providers in the Promoting Interoperability EHR Incentive Program, electronic Clinical Quality Measures (eCQM’s) are more than just a way to improve the quality, accuracy, and timelines of patient data input; they are necessary standards of care that must be reported to CMS Inpatient Quality Reporting (IQR) and Joint Commission. Knowing this, we created a QRDA eCQM Portal in 2019, which has now been tested and certified by Drummond Group, LLC.2 We are proud to announce that our Galaxy 7.0.0 software is officially Drummond Certified and available for implementation in 2020, providing a way for eligible hospitals and providers to monitor quality measure performances and create QRDA Cat 1 files on demand.3
What’s to Come in 2020
For TSG, the new year brings new goals, new clients, and new opportunities to make a difference. We will be attending the MUSE Inspire Conference on May 26th to play our part in continuing health-tech education. In addition, a new ezPortal Dashboard within our Patient Check-in & Registration Suite is poised for release by the end of the third quarter, and we are working on Meditech Implementation Consulting as well. We are also making changes to our website to ensure that our clients and potential clients are able to access the information they need more easily. All in all, we believe that 2020 will be another year of progress and purpose at TSG.
We understand that our progress and purpose is inextricably linked with the story of your progress and purpose. While we are proud of the accomplishments we have achieved and the growth we have experienced in 2019, we won’t allow our victories to distract us from continuing a legacy of helping others in 2020. Our focus is and always will be on helping you succeed. Because we at TSG know that when you succeed, we all succeed.

2. Drummond Group is an Authorized Certification Body (ACB) and Accredited Test Lab (ATL) within the Office of the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology (ONC). They have been working with health IT developers to test and certify new software for more than 17 years.
